RAN BY COACHES WHO KNOW THE GAME

Our coaches are not only experienced, but continually demonstrate the patience necessary to work with and develop players of all skill levels. Their goal is to ensure that each player gets the most from their individual experiences, whether that means learning new skills or just having a good time. Let’s take a moment to meet our coaches.

MEET THE OWNER

Michael Barrett played for four MLB teams from 1998 to 2009; won a Silver Slugger Award while playing with the Chicago Cubs in 2005. He was selected to represent the United States on the USA team in the 2006 World Baseball Classic. Over his 15 year professional career, Barrett has accumulated 11 years Major League service time. In his Major League career, he has 98 career home runs, 220 doubles, 925 hits and a career 263 batting average.

Barrett has also spent a considerable portion of his personal life devoted to helping children. He has worked with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Cubs Care Program to help less fortunate and sick children. As of late, he has worked with Kerry Wood and Ryan Dempster to raise money to help Derrek Lee's daughter in the research for Leber's congenital amaurosis. Barrett currently has his own non-profit organization called The Michael Barrett Foundation which is devoted to helping the local children's hospitals and other organizations that play a helpful role in the lives of children.

He runs several youth baseball programs, including one in Hawaii, which was inspired from his tenure with the Hawaiian Winter Baseball League. He has also worked with Ripken Baseball in Cal's camp operations. Barrett also helped start Barrett Fletcher Baseball which has run tournaments and camps for children in the local Atlanta area. Because of his passion to work with children and run baseball camps, he recently has taken ownership of one of the most elite travel ball organizations in the nation, Roadrunner Baseball Academy.
