Meet The Coaches

  • Michael Barrett

    Michael Barrett played for four MLB teams from 1998 to 2009; won a Silver Slugger Award while playing with the Chicago Cubs in 2005. He was selected to represent the United States on the USA team in the 2006 World Baseball Classic. Over his 15 year professional career, Barrett has accumulated 11 years Major League service time. In his Major League career, he has 98 career home runs, 220 doubles, 925 hits and a career 263 batting average.

  • Will Foster

    Will Foster is entering his 12th year of coaching and 7th within Roadrunner Baseball Academy. A native of Cumming, Georgia, Will played four years of varsity baseball as a middle infielder at North Forsyth High School before going on to play collegiately. After his playing career came to an end, his strong passion for the game led him directly into coaching. His coaching career began with high school summer teams, youth camps, and individual lessons as he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise. He is an assistant Varsity coach at King’s Ridge Christian School.

  • Blake Hyman

    Coach Hyman played Outfield at Berry College and earned a B.S. degree in Business Management. Blake played high level travel ball all throughout his youth career and graduated from Lambert High School in Suwanee, GA. He has 2 years of coaching experience and plans to continue coaching as long as he can because of his strong passion for developing young athletes who have aspirations of playing at the highest level.

  • Jimmy Fowlkes

    With over 40 years of experience, Coach Jimmy Fowlkes has enjoyed being a high school coach, youth league coach, instructional baseball camp director, and private instructor. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgia State University, where he was an MVP and team captain of the baseball team, playing centerfield and batting lead off. Coach Fowlkes’ high school career has included coaching stints at Campbell, Osborne, and his alma mater, Decatur. Jimmy currently lives in Kennesaw, GA with his wife, Ellena, and youngest son, Jacob.

  • Clay Cleveland

    Coach Cleveland is from Daphne, Alabama where he attended Daphne High School from 1995-1999. Coach Cleveland was a two-sport athlete at Daphne High School, playing Varsity football and Varsity baseball. Coach Cleveland went on to sign with Auburn University on a football scholarship after his senior year. After his freshman year at Auburn University, Coach Cleveland decided to pursue his baseball career and went on to play baseball at Jefferson State Community College, Alabama Southern Community College, and Savannah State University. After Coach Cleveland’s junior year at Savannah State University, he was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds organization in 2003. Coach Cleveland played three years of professional baseball before deciding to go back and finish his college degree in Criminal Justice. Coach Cleveland spent the next fourteen years in law enforcement before deciding to pursue real estate in 2020. Coach Cleveland is married to Brooke Cleveland and has three children. Coach Cleveland is extremely excited and very humbled to have an opportunity to coach Roadrunner Baseball!

  • Kyle Farnsworth

    Kyle grew up in Roswell, Georgia. He was also a member of the original Roadrunners. Kyle played professional baseball as a pitcher from 1995-2016. He finished with 893 games pitched - 29th all-time in the MLB. His career consisted of 16 years in the MLB for 9 different teams, and played in Mexico for 2 years, then finally retired. Kyle then pivoted into the coaching world, starting with the Brookhaven Bucks in 2017. He was pitching coach at Windermere Prep High School from 2018-2021. He was also the pitching coach for the Mets Scout Team in 2019. Kyle does pitching, hitting, and all baseball-type instruction for the physical to the mental side of baseball.

  • Michael Brock

    Michael came up through the East Cobb program.  He was the captain of the Walton High School team and made the Georgia All-State team as a left fielder.  He then went on to play catcher for Furman University. Michael has been with Roadrunner Baseball Academy for three seasons where his focus has been helping our younger players develop sound fundamentals and a love for the game.
